Catch postseason softball and baseball this week
CORVALLIS, Ore. – If you’re a fan of Oregon State sports and the playoffs, well, this week you’re in luck.
The Oregon State softball team is in its second Women’s College World Series and opens play Thursday when the Beavers take on Florida. Oklahoma City’s first pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. PT. The game will air on ESPN. For more ticket information, visit beavertickets.com.
Oregon State baseball, meanwhile, is hosting the Corvallis Regional for the fourth time since 2017. The Beavers begin their NCAA playoffs Friday night at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPNU. For more ticket information, visit beavertickets.com.
Both teams highlight a successful spring for Beaver Athletics, with seven teams advancing to the playoffs.
Men’s golf competed in the NCAA Bryan Regional and senior Carson Barry qualified for the NCAA Championships after winning a four-man playoff in Texas.
Women’s golf finished in second place in the Pac-12 Championships, the team’s best finish. The Beavers qualified for an NCAA regional in Franklin, Tennessee.
The Athletics set a school record for points at the Pac-12 Championships. Seven Beavers have qualified for the NCAA West preliminary meeting and Grace Featherstonhaugh and Kaylee Mitchell will travel to the NCAA Championships next week in Eugene.
Men’s rowing still competes as a team and will compete in the IRA Championships June 3-5 in New Jersey.
Women’s Rowing posts a 14e-final NCAA Championship berth, team’s best finish since a 13e-final place in 1999.
